Today, we visit the impressive National Botanic Garden of Wales set in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside. With a blend of the modern and historic, the gardens boast the world's largest single-span glasshouse, a tropical Butterfly House and the British Bird of Prey Centre, as well as three lakes, a Japanese Garden, a Bog Garden and a Double Walled Garden. We return to our hotel with time to enjoy a stroll around town before dinner.B, D
We spend today relaxing in the pretty picture postcard town of Tenby. Explore its quaint streets and stroll around the picturesque harbour, visit Tenby Museum and Art Gallery (additional charges apply) or just relax on the golden sands of this beautiful resort. In the afternoon, take a short boat trip to Caldey Island and its atmospheric monastery.B, D
After breakfast, we visit Aberglasney House and Gardens, a serene and beautiful location and one of the finest gardens in Wales. With 10 acres of magnificent gardens and the fully restored ground floor of the mansion to explore, Aberglasney is a stunning venue. In the afternoon, we enjoy a trip on the lovingly restored Gwili Narrow-Gauge Railway which winds its way north beside the River Gwili.B, D
After enjoying breakfast on our final day we head home, with comfort stops on the journey.B

Ivy Bush Royal Hotel, Carmarthen ***+
This historic hotel is located in the centre of the Welsh town of Carmarthen. Once the favoured retreat of Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, this hotel has been sympathetically extended over the years. Each of the bedrooms is traditionally decorated and there is a large restaurant and an extensive bar/lounge in which to relax. There is a lift to all floors, but please note there are steps to some rooms from the lift. Guests can enjoy free use of the sauna.
